Default Curtis Controller 1204-015 to 1204-017

Hey guys, I have a 1993 Club Car DS Solid State drive with a bad Curtis 1204-015 controller. I found an upgraded 1204-017 (upgraded to 400 Amp). Will they interchange?

Yep, they will interchange.

Just know that you need at least 4 gauge cables to run a 400 amp controller.

You need a 5k-0 throttle input, but that controller is programmable, so the throttle type should be able to be changed. You'd have to find someone with a Curtis programmer, however.

I'd recommend just getting an Alltrax SR.

Ok got my cart running 5.5hp Ge motor axe 4845 controller 400 amps, heavy duty solenoid,2/0 cables on everything.should my cables be getting pretty warm going to the front of my forward reverse switch cause every cable other than these stay cold. I have a heavy duty forward reverse switch to put on yet had to modify my old one to except larger cables.
