Default Got the 23 horse in have a few?

I got my cpp 23 in my 94 club car. Everything went great. Runs good. I ordered with the high Rev kit installed. I have one question though. My cart already had the stock governor taken out and I didn't have it. I got it all hooked up to the throttle linkage fine but when I give it some gas it doesn't always want to return good. It'll hang around 2500 rpms at idle it will keep idling up til it reaches close too. Any ideas? I'm going to try to bend the spring a little bit more on the cart side but it appears to be returning all the way. It's just one little blip it finishes coming back with help then starts going up again

Put another or stronger spring on the throttle return

What he said!

It could also be binding somewhere. Look at the linkage/cable setup on the engine when you press the throttle. Mine did that too, and it ended up being one of the springs was getting caught on a little bracket and hanging up. I also loosened up the throttle linkage on the engine so it didn't have any resistance.

Thanks. I was thinking last night before bed also was going to try to put some slack back into the pedal. I removed all of it when. It was pedal start on the original one. See if that helps also. All I'm running for throttle cable is from my black box straight to the linkage that looks to be working alright

The stronger return spring needs to be on the engine (carb) not the pedal.
