Default Yamaha G2 build (pic heavy)

Here is my ‘89 Yamaha G2 gasser build. I initially purchased a Jakes long travel lift kit and modified it for R&P steering. The rear swingarm was dropped 7” and moved back 4”. It also has a panhard bar to keep it centered. This cart is powered by a Polaris Scrambler 500cc engine. Has a little stiffer cam so it should be close to 48 horsepower. I’ll be running 27” tires and 14” wheels. They way I have the suspension geometry configured, should be close to 10-12” of wheel travel. If anyone has any questions on this build, feel free to ask away.

Now for the steering column, this is a roller bearing on the top and roller bearing on the bottom with a W joint. I made it extremely strong because 95% of the people that want to ride in it or drive it including myself, use the steering wheel to pull themselves up. This will help since it is nearly 26 inches from the ground to the floorboard.

Here are a few pictures of the engine being mounted on the swingarm. Due to the torque and horsepower, I did my best to make it as dirty as possible using solid mounts.

Here’s a few more pictures of it standing on all four and a picture of the 5” frame stretch to accommodate the tires. Feel free to ask any questions! I would be glad to help.
