Have you checked the solenoid and/or V-glide?

Try this...this will HELP you diagnose it a little better.

1. Connect a voltmeter to B+ and M- on controller.
2. Turn key on and place F/R switch in neutral. The voltmeter should read 0 or close to zero before applying throttle.
3. Should read full battery voltage when the throttle is pressed all the way down. If not....either the throttle, solenoid, or controller is defective.

If you can verify the solenoid and throttle are functioning properly then you probably have a bad controller.

Sorry there is no markings on the speed controller . There are just the three small wires and the four big motor wires.

By the way I have power to both top posts on the solinoid. I think the solenoid is in the closed position. yes?

The controller terminal itself should have B+ and M- stamped into them. If it has a resistor across the terminals then yes you will have power across. Disconnect the resistor and you should not have power to both.

With what reference? Are you measuring negative to each?
