Default Found some mud this morning.

It's been so cold here... at least for us wimps that I haven't had the cart out much. It rained last night and warmed up abit, so we went out in the desert near the house for a couple of hours this morning. Everything went great, the ground was wet and it was pretty easy keeping up with the rhinos. Then on the way home, literally a couple of blocks away, I found a muddy spot, and despite Toms protests I decided to get it dirty. Not much compared to what some of you guys get into, but as long as it took to get clean again, it might be the last time.

Azboo,
I love seeing pics. of your cart, finally some good close ups. Your roof supports/struts look like they were custom made. They look more heavy duty, probably for your desert applications. Cart looks very nice.

Tom fabbed the roof supports for the cart. The only original part is the seat supports. He bent the tubing and then I had everything powder coated. The main reason for fabbing everything was to make a sturdy roof support that we could take off so it would go in the toy hauler and be put back on with only six screws. Turns out it's just short enough to barely clear the rear bed without taking it off. However, once we change the cart suspension to A arms and coil overs, it will be taller, and then the top will have to come off. Also, I found a top that had the band all the way around. It's alot stronger than most cart tops are. I think he did an awesome job on the cart.

Sure you weren't out disposing of those "old bodies" ?? We were thinking of going out to the same place as last time but with the forecast we decided not and stayed home. We'll go sometime soon though. You guys and Brian will need to tag along. Last time we were out we found a challenging trail. In one spot I came out of a rut and up a vertical shelf about 2' high on the right rear tire only. Kinda shakey for a few seconds. You and Tom have a good one I'll be in touch.

Until I get the frame changed out for the new one, I'll never be able to tackle the trails you do. I'm really looking forward to the a arms and the coil overs. Be like riding in a car almost.

Not sure I want to do that again but the ride and stability is awesome. The mud is quite becoming on your buggie by the way. Why were you bundled up in that coat??? It was nice today. And it "WILL" get dirty again, you'll see.

Glen

Woodie, you riding in the snow like some I've seen??

Bundled up because it was cold. I'm such a wimp. I hate the cold. I haven't been warm for weeks now.
