Default controller upgrade, which one?

Well, I am putting my new cart together, it's an 02 club car IQ, 48v with 6, 8volt batts,I am changing all the wiring to # 2, but the cart does not have the club car speed setting # 4 installed in it, also adding 6" jakes lift and 22" tires on 12" rims.

What should I do to increase the speed?
# 1- get the # 4 speed program from cc and be happy?
#2- change out the controller? If so what amperage and brand?
#3- change out controller and motor? If so what brand?
And where to get the above parts?

I will mostly be using around rv parks and around the house, nothing really off road per say. My goal is to do things right the first time, so I may need to do somethig else regarding controller/ motor/ wiring, in other words have I missed a component like solinoid or something?

All help is greatly appreciated, thanks, Scott

Go to ddmotorsystems.com and choose your motor controller combo. It will give you speed expected and torque increase/decrease with the combo you pick. I have read many good things about the Alltrax controllers. D&D told me that going over 500amp with a typical 48 volt cart is overkill because the batteries can't put out that much amperage.

I am not familiar with the #4 speed program so I can not comment on that.

Thanks, guess I can call on Monday, the # 4 speed program on an IQ cart is just the factory high speed setting for the stock controller.
