Default Tow Toe Trouble

Our 2010 Precedent has been wearing out tires at an alarming rate. When we got the cart about six months ago the tires looked almost new. But now, they're almost bald on the inside quarter.

Is this just a toe/camber/alignment issue? Or do you see something more notorious possibly going on? I've got pictures attached.

What first alerted us to an issue was a ticking sound coming from the driver's side tire area. At first, we thought it was a rock or nail stuck in the tire because it seemed to tick in rotations with the tire. But upon inspection, there doesn't seem to be any foreign objects in the tire.

Also, any suggestions where or how to get just two tires here in the Tampa Bay area (Pinellas, if possible.)

Thanks.

Based on the photographs, it's excessively toed out which will cause your issue. The correct toe adjustment is 1/8" Toe-IN.

Check this thread out and read my write-up in post #2.

You can see that it's towed out in your picture. That will wear the tires big time and make it handle very poorly too. Get the tow adjusted and then check the camber. Those tires are ready for replacement.

Thank you for the help. We're going to get some new tires and check the alignment today.

What would cause the tow to get so out of whack so quickly? When we got the cart it was supposedly serviced recently by a golf cart mechanic. The tires were in really great shape too. Could someone have not tightened the nuts enough? Or can they come loose if the cart is driven over rougher terrain? I just don't want it to happen again.

Check your bushings while you are working on it.

More often than not, most golf cart mechanics don't check the front end alignment. It may have been overlooked. Do as mrgolf said and check your bushings. Jack the cart up and shake everything and make sure it's all good and tight. If everything looks good, line it up and let it ride.
