2010 precedent - 12v aux battery installation for all accessories
I have a 2010 precedent and installed a 12v auxiliary car battery and connected the radio, underbody light kit, and added a light bar which are all operable.
I would also like to wire the horn, turn signals, headlights, and brake lights directly to the auxiliary battery as well. Any recommendation on what wire I should connect to power these accessories from the aux battery only. I plan on using fuses and switch for headlight/tailight. I spent some time looking through the previous posts and found a schematic that was shared. But I'm still unclear on which wires I should use. I tried using the blue from the battery pack and jumping the ground from the auxiliary battery to the ground on the battery power pack and the light for the signal switch works but no lights in the front; headlights, blinkers, taillights, etc. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.. |

Re: 2010 precedent - 12v aux battery installation for all accessories
In addition to connecting the two negatives together (aux battery and pack negative), You also need to connect the negative wire from the bucket harness to one of those negatives.
The blue wire from the bucket harness connects to the +12v from the aux battery as You have. You can also add a 48v relay if You want to control some/all your accessories from the key switch. |
