Are the transmissions the same for a gas ds and precedent

Depends on the year.
DS prior to 1997, no. DS after 1997, no, but it can be modified to work. |

Like FT said... it depends on the year of the DS or the DS transaxle.
Starting in 1997, the DS came with the Unitized Transaxle, Precedents didn't come out until 2004, but used the same drivetrain as the DS. From 2004 to 2011, both the DS's and Precedents used the same Unitized Transaxle, As did the Carry-All 1, 2, and 2 Plus, and the XRT 800, 850, and 900. |
