Amp-Hour to Range thread
Is there already a thread comparing different lithium battery packages, their AH capacity, voltage and the range achieved on different setups? I'm researching building my own pack out of 38120 Headway cells and my current item is figuring out how much minimum capacity I should shoot for. This would be for either 36v or 48v pack since I already have a dual voltage controller.

Re: Amp-Hour to Range thread
I have not done a full range test, but the range will vary greatly from cart to cart, terrain and max speed used. If I back off a bit on the throttle I'll get 15 to 20% more range.
But, most people shoot for 100 amp hour capacity. Some go much more. |

Re: Amp-Hour to Range thread
I started out with a 7-module Leaf pack. After two hunting seasons I expanded to a 14 module pack.
While the 7 module pack was adequate for the areas that I hunt, the 14 module pack is a "no worry" about running out of juice!! IMHO buy as much amp\hr as you can afford. You will not regret it. |
