Club Car Precedent frames
Hello all
Newbie here and am seriously thinking of buying an '08 Precedent and am told it has an aluminum or SS frame, I'm thinking aluminum. My ? is, Are there weak areas ie; cracks or anything that i should look for or any other major issues you can make me aware of before i purchase one. I have seen it and it looked good from what i saw as a novice to the cart world. I have looked at (4) EZ GO and all four gas and had stress cracks in the rear body section near the seat/back just above and in front of rear tire, both sides. With the weight of batteries makes me a little concerned with an aluminum frame on the Club Car but knowing they have been around awhile too! Last ? It currently has 4-12V one yr old batteries, just wondering if when i replace them is there room to 6 fit into the area? I've read you get better performance from six vs four. Just curious is all on that ? Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions, good or bad Sent from my SM-T387V using Tapatalk |

Club Car Precedent frames
Club Car frames are always aluminum, and that’s the best part of them! Look it over carefully to make sure there’s no cracking or bending, especially if it’s ever been crashed in front. Make sure there’s no corrosion from leaking battery acid as well.

Re: Club Car Precedent frames
Yes there are conversion kits to go to the 6-8v setup. I have seen several "Shade Tree" conversions. Never seen any Precedent frame cracking or weld breaks, I have seen a lot on the DS model.
You can shine up the aluminum frame to be a mirror finish. I seen pics on BGW forum before. Man that looks good. If weight and run time are a real concern go lithium, however if you care for you current pack you have several years left |

Re: Club Car Precedent frames
Thanks for the replys to my ?s
Great advise and well taken, i will check the frame closely since the weight of batteries in center was my biggest concern for fatigue cracks. Also, thanks for the uptic on tha battz lasting. Any thoughts on the Battery Minder charger with desulfator ? Ive used them on my 4 wheeler n it seems to have helped for the last 5 yrs on it although much smaller battery, they do have one for 48v its 300ish but if it'd prolong the life guess it'd be worth it. Just pondering, never have heard anyone mention the feature n just wonder if its a marketing gig. Thanks again guys. Sent from my SM-T387V using Tapatalk |
