Remote F/R Switch - HELP!
I don't know what I did wrong, but I messed something up. All I get is forward. No reverse - whether my toggle switch is in the ON or OFF position. I even disconnected the switch. Forward. Connected the 2 wires together. Forward. Checked continuity of switch and it's working.
All of the main wires are 4 gauge, crimped, soldered, and heat shrink tubing added. The red switch wire is 12 gauge, crimped, soldered, and tubed. The red wire on the photo (see below) goes to the toggle switch and then to the gas pedal micro switch on the KEY SWITCH side. I labeled everything else. Any ideas? How can I test with my multimeter to make sure the solenoids are working? Help please! |

Re: Remote F/R Switch - HELP!
What (the heck) is the center bolt (2 cables into one terminal) bolted to?

Re: Remote F/R Switch - HELP!
The small red wire.
Does it come from the switch then split and go to each solenoid? If so, what activates either solenoid when the switch is off? Another earlier diagram you referenced mentioned a 3 pole switch and not an on/off toggle. I can understand the 3 pole switch where solenoid 1 or solenoid 2 are activated. I cannot understand activating both at the same time or neither one. Good luck! |

It's a gas cart if I'm not badly mistaken.
I'm not sure I understand what you have there either. Post the diagram you went off of for your wiring and a wiring diagram that came with the solenoids would probably help. |

You should be able to hear them click when you go to reverse.
Are you sure the grounds are good? Both your big ground in the middle and that the bodies of the solenoids are grounding to the frame |

I'm going to run out and check something real quick. If I have this figured out right, when I push the gas pedal I should get 12V on the red wire going to the solenoids, right? I'm going to see if I do... |
