EVLLS1, check your local golf courses. When I was looking for an electric cart, I went to several courses and put a small notice on their bulletin boards. All the calls I got were from people wanting to sell gas models. These courses did not have electric hookups in their cart storage areas(I didn't know at the time). I should have bought one or two, because some were almost giving them away.

Re: wanted: gas golf cart... older is quite fine..
yeah there's not many golf courses around here. there's one in town but they use electric and NEVER get rid of their carts. i dont know of any around here that use gas really... i'll have to check more into that though. i appreciate the heads up.
looking to spend as little as possible... rather trade stuff or paint services. there's no way i'm paying the $2500-3600 the local cart stores want for a plain jane straight off the golf course cart. i paid $900 for an older electric cart with new tires, body, seat were in great condition... came with the windshield, the winter enclosure, charger, lights, seat cover, and some other things with it.... the guy said the batteries were old so i went and bought all new batteries, wires, terminals, etc... the cart was still only ran about 3mph... so i had to get rid of that.... that was before i found this site too... so i could have kept it and all.. but made some cash off it because i wanted a gas one to begin with to do a sled motor later on |
