Default starter generator disassembly/reassembly/overhaul

Is there a disassembly / reassembly guide for the starter generator?
I want to take it apart to drill some water drain holes; but don't want to get caught with my pants down if the brushes are not cooperative upon reassmebly.

Is there a selection of common overhaul/repair parts for a starter?
Overhaul kit?

I'd rather just skip the take it apart portion, but don't want to hit something important when I'm poking around with a drill.
If someone has one apart and can tell me "drill on bottom 3/8" from pulley end & 1/4 from cap end no more than 1/2" deep "( or whatever the dimensions may be); that would be great.

Water drain holes? The other way of looking at it is the same holes will also be the water entry holes.

The starter gen getting wet is not a problem at all. I drive my golf golf under the rain, through the mud and through 12 inches of water. When you wash your cart, water is all over the engine and over the starter gen.

You don't have to disassemble the starter to replace the brushes. The brushes are accessed thru the rubber squares.

I'll be winching (engine off) through some deep crossings.
Starter will be completely submerged for a bit. Water will get in, I just want to make sure water won't be left pooled inside.
