Default Governor spring

I just bought a 2008 ezgo golf cart with a robin 295cc engine and they had messed with the governor to make it go faster. The governor spring was almost collapse. Doses anyone think the spring should be replaced.

I have an entire cart that I'd sell you. It has the ME29 transaxle. It's an earlier version, but has the same internals. The only difference is this one uses coil springs, but it could be converted to leaf spring. The cart also has the 295 Robin engine in it. No idea on condition of either, I just got this cart as a package deal, keeping the other cart.

Where in Ohio are you located? I'm in Medina 44256.

I was asking $700 for the whole cart, it's complete. The transaxles go for $400-$600 if you can find one.

I wouldn't want to buy the whole cart and take it apart then have the rest just sitting around for that price . I might be interested if it was only $400.00 but I understand if you can't sell it for that price.

If you would take $500.00 I would buy it but since you can't even buy parts for that cart anymore about the only thing it is good for is parts. I'll wait for your reply.
