Re: Seat mildew
Bleach, a scrub brush, and a pressure washer work great

Re: Seat mildew
if you use bleach, be very careful ,dilute it well with water.Bleach will destroy the thread and is not very kind to vinyl either. Use a bleach free stain remover.

Re: Seat mildew
Being the runt of the litter at several golf cart shops i had the privilege of cleaning a lot of golf carts seats. Brake cleaner would not remove several hard stains.
I honestly feel that i can replace the vinyl on a seat cheaper than i can clean one |

Re: Seat mildew
Most brake cleaner is chlorinated (bleach). I use bleach concentrate. Spray it on and let it sit for a few minutes. Agitate it with a scrub brush to loosen it up a little and then blow it all off with a pressure washer.
Whatever doesnt come off, probably isnt going to. If thegre that bad then it's just time to replace. I'd recommend any color BUT white. I frequently ride grass, fields, and dirt roads. My carts live indoors, but I've never had much luck keeping white seats white, I usually recover with black just because they stay new looking. |

Re: Seat mildew
What I do is take a soapy mixture of water and bleach. Scrub like crazy. Rinse. If it doesn't come off use more bleach in the mixture. Repeat. if it still does not come off use 100% bleach. Put it in the sun for a while. If it does not then come off it ain't coming off.
And yes, bleach can be harsh on the cover. |
