Re: The Clown Cart Build.
Great job. I'm interested in the first set of aluminum wheels that you had if you want to sell them.

Re: The Clown Cart Build.
Guys,
I gave the first set of rims to one of my Buddies. They are good looking rims, but they had some issues. The clear was spotted really bad and started to corrode under the clear. I thought about bead blasting all the clear off of them and then having them polished, but when I found the set I have I did not want to go through all the trouble. They needed a bunch of work to really make look good. The tires were also stuck to them as someone had green slimed them. I will ask him if he wants to sell them, but they will need work to make really nice. Carlo |

Re: The Clown Cart Build.
Alright guys so I put the white body on so I could at least take it for a ride and test everything. The new engine cranked right up and sounded great. I took off down the street and of course checked the brakes this time. It ran good but all of a sudden I noticed when I looked behind me it had started smoking like a chimney. I brought it back home started checking everything and it all checked out good. I went for another ride and it was smoking bad but started to clear up. So I kept cruising and it finally got less and less until it had stopped smoking completely and was running great. I then realized when my buddy gave me the engine it was laying on its side in the box and oil was leaking out of it. It evidently had gotten on top of the cylinders and smoked until I burned it all out.
First Cruise: Started assembling and mounting some parts while I waited on the body: Rear Seat- Windshield- So I finally got the call from My buddy Jeff who said he had some good news and he had some bad news. Good news was that the body was painted and out of the booth drying the bad news was a spider had decided to take a walk on the front part of the body during the final coat of clear. No big deal just a couple more extra days before I get the front. Out of the paint booth and getting some sun: I rushed home to mount the painted rear part of the body so I could finally star bolting on parts on the cart for good. I tapped all the body mount holes 1/4-20 thread and used stainless button head screws with washer built on to mount the body : Carlo *****More to Come***** |
