Older CC lift kit fit question
I found a 4" lift kit (spindles and blocks) on craigslist for $125. It came off of a 83-84 cc. I have a 90 cc ds. Will it fit? The seller doesn't know if it's a factory or aftermarket kit. Is this a deal I should check into or move on? Thanks

Re: Older CC lift kit fit question
The factory never made a spindle lift kit. Those that did say it fit '83-03 BUT there was an axle size change somewhere. I think the the axles were ID by the color of their dust covers... silver steel and black plastic...I'm pretty sure this change was after 90 .... Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
hope this helps. |

Re: Older CC lift kit fit question
Just got home with the lift kit. It's a Jake's. Anybody has the destructions on how to put this thing on? I'm sure I could figure it out but it don't hurt to have a little back-up. I'll check the Jake's site and see what they have.

Re: Older CC lift kit fit question
I was sitting there sippin a beer looking at my cc on jack stands thinking what a good job I had done with the Jakelift install (with no instructions). When I went to put the stock wheels back on is when I realized that the front rims need to be offset. I guess it just slipped the seller's mind. My 8 year old busted his *ss putting this cart back together only to find out we can't ride it tonight. My CFO says no more $$ on the cart till after Christmas. So, are spacers and longer studs ok till I get permission to go with the bigger wheels? Our riding is mainly from the house to the barn with an occasional trip down the road a piece. Ideas and suggestions are welcome. Always willing to learn a thing or three. Thanks
