Carlisle All Trail vs. ITP All Trail Tires
I just got my new tires and wheels from a site sponsor who shall go unnamed FOR NOW. I ordered Carlisle All Trail II 4 ply and received ITP All Trail 2 ply all nicely mounted as requested. Question: Are the ITP tires made by Carlisle? Are they the same except for the number of plies? My receipt clearly shows Carlisle All Trail II 4 ply. I just need the information so I can deal with it tomorrow when they open. Thanks.
I posted this in the Club Car side, too, and realized I might get quicker answers here. |

ITP/Carlisle, same animal. I would be leary of two ply tires if you are gonna do any off road use.

Re: Carlisle All Trail vs. ITP All Trail Tires
According to Carlisle's website, they are 4 ply and that is what the vendor advertised. These labeled ITP are 2 ply. The max weight capacity on the Carlisle, again from their site, is 1160 pounds. The max on the ITP is 330 pounds. 330 x 4 is hardly enough for the cart and passengers. I guess I'm confused OR is someone screwing with my head? Vendor still unnamed YET!

And dirtysouth, that vendor had better ship the All Sports super sports lift I ordered and they had better not substitute. Everyone on this forum convinced me you built the best. I'm sure they are right. No look alikes here. The website said ALL SPORTS!

Re: Carlisle All Trail vs. ITP All Trail Tires
Looks like you need to call the vendor and see if they can tell you what's up. If you paid for 4 plys you should get 4 plys. You're nice not to mention the vendor, give em a chance to make it right. Then we'll crucify as needed.

Calling the vendor tomorrow. Although these have the same tread as the Carlisles they do not have the same specs. Not even close. I could have gotten cheaper 4 ply tires but ordered a brand I knew a little about. Thanks to all of you for commenting.

I studied this before I knew of this forum, ALL Sports has a rep for making the best. I have all sport on my buggie. When I joined here DS wasn't here yet. He joined a month later and talked his way into allsports. Been goin' downhill ever since.
