Steering help
I have a 94 Ezgo. This is the first cart I have ever built. I have put a new front end on it and lifted it. I am now trying to figure out the geometry for my steering. I have been told that if the angle is not wright and it doesn't match the "A" arms the steering could be difficult, want to turn when you hit a bump and could be dangerous. I was wandering if everyone could put some pictures of there carts up with some descriptions so I can get an idea of what I should be doing. Thanks for any and all help.
This is what it looks like wright now. 2A.jpg 4A.jpg |

Re: Steering help
What are you using for a rack and pinion or steering box?

Re: Steering help
Looks like a Marathon. So, It would be a steering box? That looks like a Stretch A arm?

Re: Steering help
I would install the steering box and check the geometry of the set up you have by moving the wheel through its travel with the shocks disconnected. You will have to do mock set ups until you achieve the proper alignment without bump steer. You will have to move the steering box or the steering arms up or down to make it happen. A little bump steer will work okay. Most Lt's in production have bump steer, 'cept ours... Good luck... Keep the pics coming.
