I dont think any of us have posted pictures of the gov removal. their is instructions for removing the gov off a briggs vtwin
off the top of my head
remove side cover
remove linkage
remove rivets holding governor arm to forks- this is supposed to be the hardest part
remove shaft
button it up - while your in their might as well swap the stock cam for a hipo cam

here you go
first pull the cover

remove the two bolts that hold the oil pump, i like to pull the pump for clean up later

now remove the screws that hold the gov fork [a little heat on the shaft helps soften up the loctite]

and pull out the shaft

now pull the bushing in the case

tap the hole with a 1/4 pipe tap

install the plug and wash and blow out the cover, install the new seal/gasket and your done.

you will need to remove the weights, etc from the cam if reusing it.
i would also replace the cam! your not going to want the compression releases if your cam has them.

if your going to use the stock cam! then it would be a good idea to remove the governor weights,
first grind down the heads of the rivits that hold the weight bracket

then punch the pivets out and your done.
