Re: Golf Cart Insurance
I do. It covers liability in case I run into someone or something. A VERY real possiblity It is also insured for theft and fire at full replacement value. The cost for a year is $54.00. The theft part was my big concern, but because we do drive on the street alot I also wanted to be sure I was covered. It also covers anyone who drives it as long as they are licensed. It doesn't cover unlicensed drivers such as the Grandies, but they are only allowed to drive it at the dunes and only if I or Tom are with them.

Re: Golf Cart Insurance
I don't have it myself, but everyone at the campground where I do business is required to. They say it costs about $35-$50 per year, depending on what kind of coverage and where you get it. One of my customers is an insurance agent, and she hates golf cart insurance policies because she only makes $3 a policy.

Re: Golf Cart Insurance
Mine is through Foremost, Its 105.00 a year, its full coverage with 100/300 coverage, 6000.00 In theft coverage, 5000.00 in medical payments and it also covers the flatbed (carhauler with the same coverage) that it gets hauled on. and I think my deducatable is around 500.00. Insurance is well worth it, I used to have a Ezgo lifted with a Briggs that we took to the Local bar (6 miles away) in Tempe, AZ (yep the party town) well needless to say I had a head on colision with a toyota celica (he stopped first and **** rear brakes only the ezgo I slid and bumped him) well no one was hurt but it ended up being 1000.00 dollars worth of damage to his car, and since i was still moving i was at fault. In the end it raised my policy by 2 dollars a year, ( I finally won something from having insurance) that was state farm at the time.

Re: Golf Cart Insurance
in NJ we can't register a regular golf cart - only the new ones with 17 digit VINs - I wonder if that matters?
