First run, a bust
So after troubleshooting some wiring issues I took my first long run today. After about 2.5 miles of perfect cruising the cart died. I opened the seat and noticed the solenoid wasn't clicking. The small red wire from the solenoid was unplugged, so I plugged it back in and nothing. I checked all the wiring in the high current loop and everything seems to be fine. Could one of the FNR switches have gone back? continuity works on them, is there something else I should check?

Red wire going from solenoid to controller?

Re: First run, a bust
no the red wire going from MS3 to solenoid. Any idea how to bypass this? Solenoid is not clicking and I want to test it. I have full voltage on the battery side and from the switch when activated to the solenoid. How do I tell if solenoid is bad? I just put a new one in, can't imagine it already went bead unless there is something making it go bad?

Re: First run, a bust
You can jump the solenoid with a wire from b+ to see if it clicks

Re: First run, a bust
When I press the pedal the switch closes and I get full voltage to the solenoid, so I am guessing it is getting power.

Re: First run, a bust
Here's a thought, though I am not sure if it's even possible. When I changed the solenoid I used the same resistor and diode. Perhaps the resistor is bad and killed the new one too? Is that possible?

Re: First run, a bust
No not the resistor but a bad diode could possibly kill the solenoid activation circuit.

Re: First run, a bust
Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot it? It just stopped mid run so I doubt it's the diode as the polarity isn't any different.
