EZGO will not move
Hello, I have a EZGO golf cart that will not move forward or reverse,I have 32Volts on A2 at all times but no field voltage, the reverse horn is on all the time, but the pedal switch gets 37 vols when pressed going to controller, the reverse gets 37Volts when put in reverse going to the controller, both limit switches work on the forward and reverse, changed the solenoid and the same thing is happening, I cannot get any field voltage and the horn is always on, the control cicuit seems fine, don't know where to go from here, thanks.

Re: EZGO will not move
Welcome to BGW!
What is model and year of your cart and what type drive system? (IE: Series, Resistor, PDS or DCS) Regardless of drive type, the first question is: Does the solenoid click when the throttle pedal is pushed? If it doesn't, the solenoid activation circuit has a problem. If it does, the problem is in the high current circuit. Second: What is the battery pack voltage? You mentioned 37V being applied at spots, if that is the battery pack voltage, your pack is at about 65% State of Charge and the plates in your batteries are sulfating as we speak. Charge them. (Fully charged will be 38.2V, measured 12 hours after charger automatically shuts off) Also, did cart work when you got it? |
