Default Help with hunting cart

Hey y'all
I'm a new guy here from TN and I am looking for a good gas powered hunting cart. I like the golf cart style but can only find the Beast on the Internet. Are there other carts out there? Also is there a need much for a 4x4 golf cart?

Thanks
Jamie

Welcome!!! With a few minor mods,a basic golf cart with a 4"-6" lift and agressive tires will go almost anywhere.Your most common brands are Ez-Go,Yamaha,and Club-Car.All 3 are availiable in Gas and Electric, and parts are plentiful.Look around the site, check out the sponsors, and watch your local Craigslist for carts. They are a cheap alternative to side-by-sides,and can do as much work and go almost anywhere a UTV can.Trust me,we tested this last year, everyone involved was impressed.I went everywhere a RZR did in 2-wheel!

Welcome on board!

What part of TN are you in? There are members all over TN and you might be close to one who can lead you in the right direction for your find.

It might be a little bit of a drive, but one of our members runs "Outback Fabricators" in Chickamunga, GA. Check out their website, they may have something for you.

Good luck and keep us posted on what you end up with. Oh and by the way we do require pics of projects and new finds. LOL.

Are you wanting to build one yourself or buy one ready to go?

What's your budget?

Seems you and I are in the same boat !! I am wanting to build an electric cart though. I have been chatting with ScottyB on here and he has been very helpful. There seems to be alot of great folks here with tons of knowledge and experience to offer to a newbie !! I am originally from Martin Tn, just north of ya about 45 minutes !!
Welcome aboard :)

If you really need 4wd that is well into used UTV territory. Unless you build one there is only an electric 4wd GC I have seen. All the UTV you can lock the diff on ones I've seen. A cart will go more places than you think, but in snow or mud or really steep hills 4wd is the way to go. I mean you can do a lot of stuff with a 1/2 ton truck, but when you need to pull 10K lb or more you get a HD 3/4 or 1 ton truck that can do the job. I love carts but they are what they are. I've drove mine over bare RR tracks, and over telephone poles/trees laying on the ground over foot diameter.
