Default Pedal start on the 23hp briggs

Hi, I am seriously looking into putting the 23 hp vangaurd into my o1 CC and was wondering if they were set up with a pedal start in the kit that comes from CPP . I see that a few guys are doing some work with there exhaust systems. Does this greatly reduce the loudness of the exhaust ? Reason being I still Like to run my cart on the golf course.... Until that is when they kick my a.. off the course. Thanks any info would be great.

They come from Tom at CPP with the key start allready set up. It's nice to have it idle. As far as the sound you can keep the stock muffler on it and you should have no problems on the golf course. Just be careful with that 23hp, you'll be racing the other carts in no time and tearing up some grass!!! I think that the 18 vanny would be more than enough for what you need. Just my $.02.

Yes, you can change the tone and reduce loudness of the exhaust.

I 'stuffed' the new muffler with a bunch stainless scrubbing pads. It quieted things down a bit, and I think a richer tone. The sound is a tad 'stronger' than the stock muffler that came with the 18.
