Some Help
Hopefully I can get some help on a 2016 Express S4 High Output
My neighbor gave up on this project and basically sold it to me for diet cheap. Little background he wanted to cart to go faster . He replaced the differential gears not sure what the gearing was. After that he installed a Navitas TSX 600 controller. The cart still wouldn’t go over 17 Mph and the controller was showing a code for 1-4 thermal and was going into Limp Mode. Removed the new gears and reinstalled back the factory gears. Cart still thermos out running at 47C when this happens. The cables going to the motor and controller seems pretty hot not melting hot but hot. Doing some internet searches supposedly you can’t increase the speed of this model cart by change gear ratio. I have no idea if that’s true I believe at this point I’m not sure what’s next Thank you for any help |

Re: Some Help
Changing the gear ratio / tire diameter will affect speed and torque, always! You'll have to set these values in the Navitas app. If cables get hot, check all connections for tightness, corrosion or if something is broken. Troubleshooting by using the Navitas app or contact Navitas directly, they're very helpful.
