You are right!
I worked with Samsung for 2 years to develop the packs for Garia.

To the big surprise and envy of Ez-Go, Garia released the Samsung pack almost 3 years ago.

Only pouch cells made for the Note 7.

Garia battery pack is using the 18650 cells. (NCA, 29E for those who care)

Samsung is BTW. also supplying 18650 cells to Tesla

I suspect ezgo knew about the Garias Samsung pack (I was making lithium packs in carts before either Garia or ezgo) . We are a Garia and a Ezgo dealer. The Garia is really only comparable to ezgo in designation of product type (golf carts & LSVs) and its reflected in the price difference (more than double, over $10k difference). Speaking of envy, I will be replacing a charger on a Garia next week, I wish it were on a 2five, it would be so much easier!

I don't think EZGO knew about the Garia/ Samsung cooperation.
They where quite surprised to see that Garia was working with Samsung, because they where just turned down by Samsung at that time the Garia pack was released.
The reason for the high priority of Garia at Samsung was that Garia just sold a car to the chairman of the entire Samsung corp.

You have been out early with the lithium builds then :-)
I build the first prototype with lithium pack in 2007.

Agree with the charger position, but that was the only place left to put the charger, because my original chassis frame design was made to fit 8 pc. 6V batteries which took room for the charger in the battery compartment.

Klubber, been about 6 months since your course took delivery, what issues have come up with the Lithium carts? I will be in the market in a couple of years, really like the idea of no battery Maintenance but would like to know what the real world performance is.

Yep and some guy lost his job filling batteries, which can be a good thing.
I have not bought new FAL batteries and probably won't. Going to Lithium.

Is it possible to purchase the Samsung Li batteries anywhere?
I want to replace my 48V setup with Li-Ion
