Re: WTB Western Elegante
I have two 4 seaters for sale in CA, but only one on Palm Springs craigslist western Golf carts site. There are 39 listing their today, but include several duplicates, a charger or two and even some horses. Price range is roughly $ 1200 to $ 6000. You can find 36, 42, and 48 volt carts. A few are rough and a few are near perfect for their age. Most are good. Are you looking for one with the refurb/rebuild already done or a project cart? Westerns were built in Palm Springs area - Thousand Palms, but I think went under about 2006 or so. They also built LIDO carts there until that business failed. Plant is still there and seems to do custom work and fleet work. Carts are built on EZGO Chassis/System, so all mechanical parts, etc. remain readily available. Some exceptions would be as follows, but with a little effort they can be found. Electric trunk latch (Ford Mustang in one of my carts), the stock air blower (it's a marine bilge or ? air blower , the slam latches for 4 seaters rear gate ( I found these) , the submersible pump for one with evap A/C (available at many RV parts dealers). The golf bag holders are important to get with the cart as EZGO made the straps, etc., but not the chrome arms/support. They can be fabricated, but probably an expensive hassle. Most likely I missed something, but the forum has lots of knowledge regarding Western Golf Carts. Scottyb has all the upgrades for speed/performance and then some. Also, he knows Westerns!!!

Re: WTB Western Elegante
don't know why i did not see your response. I appreciate all your advice. I have decided that between the price of the cart and then the shipping i could build something more unique. I ended up buying a car look alike body kit to put on my club car DS. it will give me the "different look" i am looking for without the hassle of buying sight unseen and shipping from california. Body kit should be here in about 2 weeks from palm desert, ca. Ill post pics once i get it installed.

Re: WTB Western Elegante
As an interesting foot note, the Lido plant was a drop and assembly point for the Zone carts during the free cart debacle
