Brew, hasn't there been talk of an issue with the rear ends and high rpms? Which is why one would need to go to the different gear ratio at the possible sacrifice of bottom end torque? Just asking, thx

not with the "Old Style" carts, just the 2008.5 and up that have the Kawasaki Drivetrains. Those have plastic gears in the rear in the governor assembly, they aren't designed for even the full RPM's of an ungoverned 13hp for long - and when they grenade, it generally locks up the rear end. Doesn't generally do any major *damage* per say, but you would then have to pull the rear end, split it open, clean it out, etc - a nice pain in the butt and expensive as heck if You don't have the knowledge, time, etc to do it yourself.

As to speed gears, I have put them in several carts and to be honest, people really overestimate the loss of torque going to a mid-set such as 8:1 - with a 350 or 375 motor, generally just going to a 28deg clutch and a shorter belt will restore the lost torque ... And the extra 8-10mph on the top end is quite nice to have, LOL

CT hands down. Fast, Professional, top-notch quality, great pricing ... I stopped doing ANY rebuilding when I started using them a while ago, their quality and pricing is too hard to beat. I have many satisfied customers with their motors in carts, and of my own personal 3, 2 have their 375's in them. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

CT rebuilds is a company that sells remanufactured engines for the ezgo. A bb is a big block engine such as a Honda
