Anybody tried EMP motors?

I'm debating between the PlumQuick motor or the EMP w/ 2 speed. Looking for anyone that has had dealings with the EMP motor and anything that you can tell me about them.

I had good luck with my EMP, and Chuck @EMP is very knowledgeable. I got an additional 4mph out of their motor. I probably would not do the torque/speed switch again...to minimal a difference.

I wanted to get my motor rebuilt by EMP or Plumquick. I'm running 18 mph now on 48 volts w/ stock motor but I wanted to be around 22-23 mph after the rebuild. I've heard alot of good things about the Plumquick motors but I saw the EMP website and wanted to see if anyone had any luck with their produtcs.

From what I have seen in person and read on the forums, plumquick and emp rebuilds are very similar on a stock 48v motor. The gains are going to be very gradual with either...that much I know for sure. I doubt you'll get 23, and maybe 22mph on a long stretch with either motor. If you are expecting big gains and plan on spending some serious $$ down the road, I'd probably save and get a bigger controller and motor. My half cent.

Well I have a stock 36 volt motor which I've been told will do better on 48 volts than a 48 volt motor will. I went from 13 mph on 36 volt to 18 mph on 48 volts. I'm hoping to pick up a few more by having the motor rebuilt.

EMP has a rebuilf facility near here they rebuild ours from work and hold up fine.
