2004 ezgo txt upgrade questions
I have a 2004 western 400 36v cart, lots of cosmetic work done and love it. Batteries are needing replacement, so I'm thinking of moving to a new 48v ac motor lithium system. The search function does not work on my phone for some reason, even in desktop mode. With how quickly this tech changes and new companies hit the scene constantly, probably good for a fresh thread anyway.
I believe this cart is built on an ezgo txt frame. What is the best bang for buck thing going right now in the lithium batt and ac motor/controller world? Thanks for the responses! |

Re: 2004 ezgo txt upgrade questions
Yes the search on this site sucks. You’re better of doing a google search and entering through that way. You can't beat a Navitas motor/controller conversion, you’ll get both torque and speed. 600 amp if you have hills or 440 amp for flat terrain. Follow instructions for easy install. Lithium, Eco is very popular here but I kind of like Epoch and Trojan. Then there’s always DIY which I really enjoyed building. There are some brilliant minds here to help out.

Thanks!
Navitas is on my list to call next week to go over option for my specific cart, also to make sure I get everything I need. Why do you like epoch over eco? |

Re: 2004 ezgo txt upgrade questions
I just think they’re a good option if you don’t know how many amp hours you will need for your driving style. Start with 2 for 60ah and if you need more buy another 30ah for a total of 90ah. If you need more? Buy another 30ah for a total of 120ah. You could potentially build a 180ah pack with 6 of them and not have to modify your battery tray. You might just be able to save some money. Navitas typically recommends a minimum of105ah but I get by with 74ah.

Thanks fellas, keep it coming.
I looked into the epoch, I'm liking it. Is there a place that is solid to buy them from? Want to make sure if I need to utilize the warranty that they have good customer service |

Several YouTubers have the coupon codes for 10% off but you’ll have to see if any of them are still valid.
