can anybody tell me if the lad im only reading 3.4 volts at closed throttle should be 5 volts ? throttle all the way down goes to 0 volts can the lack of 5 volts be causing my issue and if so is that a bad lad ? i have bat + at the red wire and bat - at the black wire thanks

Standard voltage would be from 0 to 3.46 volts on an LAD.
You're getting into the territory of guessing at parts swapping now without the use of the handset or the laptop diagnostic tools. |

Here's a new twist....that controller is not the original one for that VIN.
Your VIN, 5FCLE26A591000440, black vehicle originally sold 9/15/09 came with serial number 2008113524 The controller you have was factory installed in a champagne vehicle sold 8/28/09. Your motor serial number should be 3143, and the axle serial number 1506462 as a 10.35 axle ratio. Somewhere along the line the champagne vehicle must have been scrapped or sold and the controller taken out an placed into the one you have now. Doesn't mean it's a bad controller, just makes me wonder about its journey, and perhaps any other components.. |

The sevcon controller is not rebuildable as it is potted. It can be test run or reprogrammed.

GOT IT fresh clean monday morning brain i replaced speed sensor before i adjusted the lad but replaced it a few times back and forth so after adjusting the lad i was thinking i had the new one in this morning i did a full assesment and found that i had the old sensor on it swapped it with the new one now i have 29 mph on rabbit and 20 on turtle thanks to techsupport he was a great help
