Default Roof paint or wrap?

I recently installed a roof on my G2, I was unable to get the roof in black so it's currently shell white which matches nothing on the cart lol. So I was going to paint the roof the same color as the cart (painted the cart myself and learned a lot with the plastic) but had the idea to wrap the roof in vinyl carbon fiber to match some other wrap on the cart. Has anyone wrapped a roof? Ease, durability? I will admit I don't have much experience installing vinyl but would be cheap enough to give it a wirl.

No idea on how wrap would work. Zero experience with that on anything. I have done several golf cart tops with Raptor truck bed lining. I have been very happy with the results and look. I sold the carts afterwards so I cannot comment on durability but it should be pretty tough. As I am sure you learned from your previous experience painting cart, prep is the key. Anyway, it is another option for you to consider. Here is a shot of 1 top. You can also get tintable Raptor and make virtually any color you want. Can match your existing paint color if you choose. I have two that I am going to do in custom colors but have not gotten around to them yet.

Thanks! That looks really good. Did you spray it or brush it? Primer?

Sprayed it with the simple Shutz (sp?) gun that is often provided with the kits. I did not use primer. Stuff is pretty much idiot proof. I really like color matching with the tintable version. Have used a lot of tintable on other projects but not golf cart tops yet.

jamoore that looks awesome!

I used Krylon Fusion Plastic Primer + Paint and it looks pretty good, not sure about the durability yet.

I also sprayed the seats black using a special vinyl paint for boat restoration from 3m.

I think I'm going to try the SEM trim paint. I would like to match the roof with the cart, but black is going to be much easier.

The seats look great. Interested to see how they hold up to daily use.

I may end up painting ours. Would really like an extended roof, but boy are they pricey.

I don’t think a wrap would do well on these roofs because of the texture of them. The smoother the surface the better. I’m sure a professional could make it look good but that will cost you $
