Default battery pack fuse smoking

I took my cart out today and when we were coming home it felt like it was really struggling and moving slow. The speed limit sign we have in the community said I was going 10 mph. When we got home I smelled smoke and looked under the seat, pictures attached. The fuse that goes to the battery pack was smoking and sparking. Any ideas what is going on?

Cart was running slowly, but running, so the fuse isn't blown. That means the connection to the battery terminal was bad.

That also means it would be a good idea to clean all the high current (amp) connections.

What drive system and controller?

Quick question since the fuse has a square profile but it appears you have a circular clean area around the battery stud.

Was there a washer or anything else between the fuse and the battery post?
