Default 2010 yamaha golf cart smoking

I have 2010 yamaha that just started smoking, just wondering if there is something I should look at before I pull the engine out, im thinking rings, or valve guides.just wondering if there might be something else.

Look for very HIGH oil level in the engine, i know, sounds dumb. A stuck needle valve in the carb, or crap gas that is not totally burning will cause over full oil. With no where else to go, the extra "oil" crud will end up going through the top-end, into the airbox, and back into the carb inlet, (unintentionally) to be sent back through the engine and burn. Look in the airbox, on the carb side, the small squares on the floor of the airbox will all be full of oily stuff.

Clean everything out, and do a oil change. Try again, it might clear up. Check fuel condition. If it goes away for a while, then comes back, you have carb needle/junk fuel problems for sure.

Thanks. I have checked breather tube and air box everything clean, so I gues the engine has to come apart. Thanks again.

Have you been using any thing other than OEM filters? Black foam around edge of filter = junk aftermarket, real yamaha ones are ONLY blue, or correct for ydra orange. Aftermarket filters have lower quality foam seal, and often leak.
