Default Inline (strait) centrifugal clutch

So I was wondering if there is a way to mount my v-twin in line with rear axle pinion, but to do that I would need more or less somthing similar to a centrifugal clutch that way, once mounted to engine, I could mount the drive shaft to other side of the clutch and it all be in parallel to the frame of the cart. Any idea as to weather this exist or is feasible??

Default Re: Inline (strait) centrifugal clutch

One problem I see is you would loose the variable gear ratio of the twin clutch system and belt. But, a centrifugal clutch inline between the engine and rear end certainly could be done. There are a number of clutches used in Kart racing that you could probably modify to make work. The big difficulty would be achieving accurate alignment of everything.
