I want to do this because I have batteries that are installed in the frame but it's going to take me a while to do all the other body work to get the rest of the wiring and body completed.
The charger is a lestronic II and I was also planning to change the port to the triangle type, since I have an RXV with that port as well.
Yes + to + and - to -

You'll probably have to disconnect/reconnect the charger from the batteries to initiate a new charge cycle, so it might be a good idea to use a switch or disconnect of some kind. If the output cable has three wires (battery sensing at charge port), connect the third wire to the Negative wire.

Thanks Johnnie.
Next question...
Any thoughts on the controller placement...
I can place it either next to the batteries or under the front seat.
I was thinking the better location is next to the batteries because of ease of wiring by not running so much wire to the stock location of under the driver's seat.
I'm also installing the Carts Unlimited SW202 selector, so i can install that on the other side of the batteries with my reducer and fuse box.
Just wanted to bounce this project off you guys to make sure i am not going to cause more trouble than this project already has been!

Mount the SW202 reversing contactor as close to the motor as practical to keep the high current cables as short as possible, leaving some slack for motor movement, of course.

Also keep high current cable length in mind for the SR48500 location. It doesn't need a heat sink, so it can be mounted on open framework or a metal plate.

It's a heavy beast, so I'd use 2Ga or thicker for all the high current cables.

I want to change the charging port to the Delta-Q style to use with my Lestronic II charger. Will that work?

Why do I want to do that.... well I have an RXV also, so if a charger goes bad or something, I can charge both carts with either charger...
I've got to move the charger port location and the port hole in the body isn't the same size as well. Everything is always sooooo complicated!

Going with this setup for the controller, switch and solenoid....
Putting everything into a plastic battery box to protect from water/ debris.
The alternative seems exposed to me but I'm sure many people just put the these on top of the battery compartment?

Not sure about the fan, but the SR will run under water. (It's filled with potting compound)

Air flow (cooling) might be an issue.

The reversing contactor in a box might be okay.

Thank you. I'm going to leave to top off the box. Should have said that.
Any thoughts on the charging port?

Thought I'd share the snails pace of progress. Knee deep in wiring this dude. Realized i now have to splice in extensions for the light kit to work.

I need a schematic for the key switch so i can wire it properly

Here are a service manual and a parts manual that might come in handy.

Accessory wiring schematic is on Page N-3 of service manual.

Thanks Johnnie.

I have completed all connections BUT the key. I know that the key will have the + ( ' I ' on the key ) to the solenoid & - ('B' to - pack . The key seems to be the easiest to wire....which also worries me the most!

Am I correct in stating that the green wire connects to I on the switch, which is also my + connection back to the solenoid.

Just want to be sure... Thank you! I'm running all new wire for the cart.

I've been following the directions and schematics, as well as, the attached picture. It's just finding the exact application with these upgraded parts on one document that's the most confusing. I'm at the stage of someone just saying 'put this wire here to here and you're done....'
