Default Stripping and repainting the fiberglass body

Short of Soda blasting, has anyone had good or bad luck using other methods to remove the old paint? Stripper? Sandpaper? Other Ideas?

When I did my 85s I just sanded the crap out of them followed by some bondo and more sanding to smooth things out. It was a lot of work but I got pretty good results.

If sanding be careful you dont get past the gel coat.. cause then youll have to re coat it .. and be sure to only use alcohol to wipe any impurities off of it .. anything else will soak in and once its painted again and it sees the sun youll have some sweet bubbles !

Forgive me but I took my skins to Maaco and they did it all for $375.

Just tried that link but it seems to be dead, do you remember how you painted it or possibly what brand? Currently sanding mine down to repair the fiberglass and then repaint...looking for any tips
