Default Clutch removal g1

Looking to see if anyone knows how to remove the clutch on a g1 once the bolt is off? It should just slide out, but mine is "stuck" on and will not come off. Replacing the crank seals. Did the fan side and it went smoothe, now not so much on the clutch side... New member here... Any help would be great. Thanks, Ray

I am a club car guy but I think it's tapered so you need a puller to remove it. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but that's how club car is. Look on sponsors website for clutch puller

It does need a specific clutch puller.

Just to save starting a new thread, I would assume this is similar to the G16a?

I bought a new clutch, and the bolt for removal from a sponsor here.
The cart is down at the lake almost 600 miles away, so I am trying to be prepared and take the tools I need for this job next weekend.
I have searched hi and low on this board for detailed drive clutch instructions, but no luck yet.

I would say from the reading I have done, remove belts and then the cover off the old clutch.
Remove stock bolt, then screw in the removal bolt? The clutch comes off?
Put new clutch on with new bolt? Put belts back on and you are done?

Thanks guys! This really helped! I did find a clutch removal bolt, but not sure if I want to spend the $40 to get it?!? It looks just like a bolt..... I think I may just find the size and thread (metric).. And give that a shot. I'll let ya know how it turns out..

The "bolt" is not threaded all the way and is a smaller diameter beyond the threads, so it can go through to bottom out in the crank to pull the clutch off.

Good luck with it!

I just did this project Saturday, and it took a good Snap On impact to break my clutch loose. Both the primary and the secondary. They must use a lot of loctite at the Yamaha assembly plant.
