EZ Go Marathon Steering Rod/Ball Joint Replacement
I am in the process of removing/replacing the steering rod and the steering reduction gear on my 1992 EZGo Marathon. For some reason, I can't seem to remove the old ball joint that is attached to the steering rod... I keep hitting the threaded end of the ball joint to try to get it loose from its mounting area with no luck. Is there some sort of special tool I need to loosen and replace this ball joint?

Re: EZ Go Marathon Steering Rod/Ball Joint Replacement
Thanks... I had no idea such a tool existed... I found another thread which mentioned this tool (with a picture) and I will buy one. I'm sure it will solve my problem...

Re: EZ Go Marathon Steering Rod/Ball Joint Replacement
Make sure you get the right one. There is a narrow one for tierods and a wider one for ball jionts.
