Default converting 2007 precedent to 8 volt batteries

Do I really need to buy the conversion kit and the battery tub or can I just get the tub and get the tiedowns and wires somewhere else and hook it up just as before??

The only people I know who sell the conversion battery well, is CC, no aftermarket.
If U can make 6 * 8 volt batteries fit where 4 * 12 volt used to go have at it and send
us some pictures

Then once ya get all the batteries in the tub, and securely fastened, ya have to relocate all the electronics somewhere. Then get all new battery cables, (don't forget a really long cable to go thru the OBC) and then lengthen all the wiring to the relocated electronics panel.

TAHOE DAWG says his shop does them in about an hour, as I remember? My first one took me 3 hours, after spending another hour going over instructions. I think this is not bad for an old man that works from a handicap scooter, and has to have some one else do the little bit of crawling needed? I have a copy of installation instructions but its very lengthy.
