Default Problems with EZGO TXT

I purchased a used Gas Ezgo its either an 04 or an 06 not sure and its got lift kit with big tires.
First problem is when i go to start the belt squeaks when i take off but when i get going it quits. I think its the belt that is making the noise.
Second problem is that when i drive the golf cart for about ten minutes it starts running like crap and there was some trash in the gas tank. i cleaned out the trash and it still didnt fix it and then i replaced spark plugs and still hasnt fixed it. my next try is to replace the plug wires.

any help for either problem would be nice.

Check the air filter, make sure it is not dirty.

Sounds like you need a new belt and the carburetor removed and cleaned out if the new air cleaner doesn't fix it..... it would be rare for an 06 cart to need new plug wires.... bad plug wires would be bad all the time. Is your rough running only after it warms up good?
