Default EZGO Sport with new batteries loosing power

I have an EZGO Sport electric golf cart that is approximately 7-8 years old. The first fours years it ran fairly well. I then noticed some power loss and had the company who sold it to me take it in and replace the batteries and do a check up. After I got it back it didn't seem to run as strong going up hills and charge seemed to dissipate quickly. Well, the batteries finally died and I thought I had mismanaged them again. Yesterday, I purchased Interstate extra heavy duty batteries and replaced them myself. Jumped into the cart and test drove it. Power still doesn't seem that great, however the bigger issue, or maybe connected issue, is the charge drained approximately 15% in roughly 20 min of driving. This doesn't seem right especially for extra heavy duty batteries.

Is it possible to have a power drain? I thought these were fairly simple machines but maybe there's something draining the power. Any help is appreciated.

New batteries are 75% of their potential. It takes as many as 20-50 charge cycles to reach their full power. Use frequent charges after flight pack drain for best results.

Additionally it does sound like maybe you have some other problem draining the batteries quickly. Have the shop clean the motor and replace the brushes. Ask the to check for brake drag.

Auto correct. I'm going to guess he meant "first" pack drain.

Are these golf cart (aka traction) batteries?
