I believe it is always better to build exactly what you want, rather than buy something that is close. Looks like you have a fun project. I'll be following along.

Nope, doubt you'll hear any of that sorta nonsense here.
We encourage people to do what they wish, and most often the best idea with older carts is to upgrade the electrics. More reliable, more efficient, and more power.

That is good to know. Hopefully my stock motor will last about 3 weeks. Just long enough for the wife to start enjoying the cart before I'm "forced" to upgrade the motor.

i probably have a piece of that battery rail that has been cut out from a cart that i bought for parts and frame is junk. i would have to see if it is damaged if you are interested.
