Battery voltage is a good indication of SOC (very non-linear) for Leaf cells but it's not good at all for LiFe chemistry. Most if not all of the drop in solutions are LiFe. The only reliable way to monitor SOC for these cells is by Coulomb Counting. This measures the current over time as you run down the battery. Not an easy thing to do well.

A 48Ah pack would be comparable but make sure the pack is a single 48v pack, not 4 12v packs and that the cells and the BMS can handle the current requirements of your cart. You don’t want your BMS shutting off when accelerating. Most cheaper cells can only handle 1C or 2C discharge, that’s only 48A or 96A, which won’t be enough. Do you have a link to the specific pack you’re looking at purchasing?

Cheers
Pat.
I saw this when researching...found a couple but had a max discharge of like 50-75amps.
