Default Installing a windshield wiper

I have a i40F we purchased in June from a wholesaler in Orlando. I'm in the process of getting it titled/registered, and I think the last missing required piece is the windshield wiper. (It supposedly came "street legal," but I've had to add the slow vehicle emblem, lighted license plate bracket and reflectors.) I've found conflicting info on whether it's installed in the windshield itself or on the frame.

Has anyone had experience installing one? If so, any recommendations for placement -- and/or the wiper itself?

have no experience installing but mine is in the windshield and is a stupid manual wiper that would probably cause more accidents by trying to use one vs. dealing with the rain and using something like rain-x.

also if you ride with the windshield lowered it will scratch the lower part of the windshield.

None of them come with wipers AFAIK and that is technically a requirement in some states, but I don't think it's enforced really anywhere.

I'd second rain-X or something similar.

My understanding is that the wiper is necessary and the DMV won't register it with it missing. Just a heads up that in FL you also need to have a DOT approved windshield. For me, this was different than the stock icon windshield. If yours is DOT approved it should be engraved somewhere. The dealer did the order and swapped it out for me, I think the full "street legal" conversion cost me a tad over $1k. Also needed a license plate light I believe.

Your 100% correct for Florida plus you need to have the cart weight from a DMV weigh station.

Hi @StracDnomyar and @AdamP. I'm in Palm Beach County, seems like its hard to find i40s around here. Can you talk about which dealers you used and what your experience was with them? Also, what did the pricing look like? Seems like by the time you finish adding all the street-legal stuff you're in the same neighborhood (well maybe ~$1K-$2K less) than modified Club Car, Ez-Go, etc.?

I'm actually over on the west side of the state, they have a "plant" in Tampa that assembles the carts as they're shipped in so we have quite a few dealers here. I did a lifted 6 seater and street legal is was around 12k, which included upgraded wheels I had them throw on. A brand new club car with all the same features was quite a bit more at the time, if you include disc brakes, lift kit, AC motor, better batteries, etc.
