Me too, thanks.
Haven't been able to get it out and run around since new pump install.
Hopefully soon.
Was thinking if there is any trouble again I will pull the tank out and see what's in there.
Figure there isn't much else that could be an issue.

Sorry for the long delay...
Finally something to report.
Looks like all is good now.
Pretty heavy use all this past weekend.
Daughter made a lot of laps around the yard, ran her friends around, and have a few trips around the neighborhood now without any stalling, bogging, or hick ups.
Hopefully it will hang in there now.
I drove it around (about a mile) and it did good.
Daughter drove me around a couple laps too.
APPRECIATE everyone's help, advice, and input.
Apologies that it took so long.
Just hadn't done much with it besides walk by in the garage for a while.
Nicer weather and some chores done finally let us get at it.

Even premium fuel contains up to 10% ethanol. Look at the pump.

The only non-ethanol gas is early labeled non-ethanol. Around here it usually runs about $1/gallon more than the regular gas.

The best way to prevent gas tanks and carbs from gumming up if they're going to be stored for a while is to store them dry with no gas in either.

Here I am again.
Still never really resolved this.
Just more of the same.
Fizzled out again yesterday and still looks like just not getting enough fuel.
Both clear fuel filters (ahead of and after fuel pump) look empty when it happens.
Going to try ANOTHER pump.
Geez, what a pain:(

Now when I search for new pumps, I keep seeing two packs...
Curious why ?
Would a second pump help?
Lift?
Surprised to see so many ads for 2 packs...

Have you verified that the tank vent is working? Could try running it with the fuel cap off and see if the supply problems go away.

I dont know much about stock fuel pumps, but this one:

runs my big block with absolutely no problem. Does it so well, I had to install a return line because the pump was overwhelming the needle in the carb and flooding the bowl. I don't think you will have that problem, just because the pulse wont be as strong.

Start and see if the vent could be the culprit, its been hot in Michigan so maybe its vapor locking. If that doesn't yield results, then go to the aftermarket pump.

WAY back when I first started having issues, I did look into the cap and it's vent. Tried running with cap loose and without it altogether. Same issues. I have another pump ordered. Black plastic body. Similar looking to the one in your link. Not sure if same brand right now, will have to check. I think this will be the 4th or 5th one I have tried. All the earlier ones were die cast metal ones. This is first plastic. A couple were as cheap as I could find at first. Thought they were just too weak and bad. Disassembled one or two swapped pieces and tried making one good out of two or three. Then all the lines replaced, filters, pulled the tank, and pickup tube...everything always looks fines, runs OK in the driveway and around the house, but more than a 1/4 or 1/2 mile drive with just a little load, a small hill or two and it sputters out, have to choke it, finally dies, check fuel filters-nearly empty, shake hoses and lines, get a few drops to flow and it will pick back up and usually make it home.

Installed the new pump (again)
Looks like this one puts out more volume than the former ones.
Running it in neutral had it spitting out a few drips after letting off the throttle.
Looks like an "overflow" port at top of carb.
First couple revs had it dripping out onto the motor mount plate.
Eventually saw what looks to be a "return line" back to the bottom of the tank that wasn't hooked up to the top of carb where it belonged.
Put that back in place after driving around the block.
Needs a LOT less choke to get started and almost seems rich rather than lean.
Fuel filters still don't show much setting in them.
But guessing it must be enough if I am getting the "overflow".
It did run OK the little I drove it so far.
See how it ends up ...
