1 guage cables
I am going to need new cables soon. I ordered a 800 amp Logisystems controller good for 48v or 72v (scotttyb hooked me up )
Whats the difference between 1 AWG & 1/0? I want these things to be beefy! I got these sites from another thread - http://www.evsource.com/tls_lugs.php http://www.evsource.com/tls_cable.php |

I am going with the 1 awg just so I know for sure every ounce of power is making it thru Especially when I go 72 volt. So the 1/0 or O would definatley be overkill? And the 1awg would be overkill but still work on the cart? |

Well Brett when I first met you.. You were setting at the start or the drag strip drinking a beer & watching all the pretty lights turn to red... Now just a few months latter. Here you are going from 48-volt to 72-volts.. Don’t look know butt you are on your way...

Re: 1 guage cables
I recently bought 1g welding cable from evdrives, the gentleman was very knowledgeable and PQ had recommended with my setup I get heavy cable...almost have it all hooked up. EVdrives does not seem to pose any threat on BGW making cables, in fact I could not find anyone on BGW to make them for me. No complaints,...just qualifying my mentioning of a non-sponsor. BTW, Roady if you haven't already spoke with Carl....he's a pretty nice guy....maybe a sponsor?
