Stiff Suspension
Hope this helps anyone:
Installed the Steeleng 6" Heavy Duty All-Terrain lift onto my 08 CC Precedent and it looks great but was entirely too harsh. It only got worse after converting to Leaf setup. Had a friend with a 15 EzGo RXV who needed to replace his front end (long story) so I grabbed his coilovers and went to work. They are under much less tension (but still be very careful if you attempt this) and measured properly for my setup. What I did is cut off the top mount and drilled a series of holes in the remaining 'cap' to free the piston shaft from the mount. Then transferred the 'new' springs to my SGC setup and now I actually have suspension and movement! Before anything I went over would throw a front wheel in the air. Next is to experiment with removing a leaf or two from the rear HD leaf springs. |

Re: Stiff Suspension
I would like to see that. I have the steeling to and it looks easy enough to get rid of leaf spring add coilovers but I havent attempted it yet. You are correct that it doesnt take much to keep a wheel in the air, if I make a turn on a road with a stormwater gutter the inside wheel stays up.
